ecotel acquires /bin/done digital solutions GmbH for the process automation of Internet and mobile communication services

Düsseldorf, September 11, 2006 

ecotel communication ag, Düsseldorf, has acquired 100 percent of Munich-based /bin/done digital solutions GmbH for € 0.4 million. The latter company specializes in provisioning, process automation, and system integration, and has played a major role in assembling the ecotel provisioning platform for connecting customers to voice and data services – in particular via voice-over-IP (VoIP). By means of the acquisition, ecotel has created a basis for integrating other services, such as mobile communication solutions, in the existing ecotel platform.
/bin/done digital solutions GmbH has been developing process automation software for telecoms providers since 2001 and has several years’ experience in integrating the systems used by different technology platforms and terminals. /bin/done’s automated control software handles both classic and VoIP-based voice services, as well as data traffic such as Internet access services, e-mail accounts and VPNs for networking company sites. With regard to increasingly complex order management /bin/done sees its particular strength as the centralized management of all those resources required for the setting up of services, focusing on standardized computer components which can be swiftly integrated in existing business processes. The automated process components can result in significant cost-cutting and improved end customer service. The concept already enabled /bin/done/digital solutions GmbH to acquire Telefonica Deutschland GmbH as a client.

With this takeover ecotel is moving forward its strategy of expanding its own systems and switching technology with the goal of giving its value added chain greater depth. Furthermore, ecotel is creating a basis for efficiently handling order management and provisioning processes within the framework of increasing business volume. And it is laying the foundations for the development of innovative convergence products for landline and mobile communication.
