Düsseldorf, December 21, 2007
The chairman of the supervisory board of ecotel communication ag, Tobias Schreyer, will step down from his office on December 31, 2007. His resignation is driven by the objective of a stronger future involvement into the operations of ecotel, which was an explicit wish of the company and which is not compatible with his current mandate in the supervisory board. Mr. Schreyer has chaired the supervisory board since February 3, 2006. The management board and supervisory board thank Mr. Schreyer on behalf of the entire staff for his performance as chairman of the company and look forward to continue the collaboration with Mr. Schreyer on a different basis with full leverage of his competence and experience for the benefit of ecotel.

In an extraordinary supervisory board meeting on December 18, 2007 Johannes Borgmann was elected chairman of the supervisory board with January 01, 2007 as effective date.

In order to complement the supervisory board before the next general assembly the management board has proposed (in coordination with the supervisory board) Mag. Reinhold Oblak (born in 1963) to the district court to become a new member of the supervisory board. Mr Oblak has been spokesperson of the international printed circuit board producer AT&S AG. Since February 2005 he is member of the board of the global investment company AvW Group AG (Krumpendorf, Austria), which owns more than 10% of the share capital of ecotel communication ag.
