Düsseldorf, 15 August 2007 
In the first six months of 2007, ecotel communication ag recorded revenues of €42.5 million, EBIT of €4.5 million and earnings per share of €0.81. Adjusted for deferred taxes, earnings per share would have amounted to €0.98.

Revenues grew by 65% year-on-year, while EBIT surged by 214%. This means that, at the end of the first half of 2007, EBIT has already exceeded the level recorded for the whole of 2006. Compared with the prior-year period, the EBIT margin improved from 5.4% to 10.6%.

The profitable growth at ecotel communication ag was driven primarily by the acquisitions of DSLCOMP Communications GmbH and Tiscali nacamar GmbH, which were implemented in May 2006 and February 2007 respectively.
The Board of Management is forecasting revenues of around €100 million and EBIT of approximately €10 million for 2007 as a whole.
