Düsseldorf, September 21, 2007
The expected earnings before interest and tax (EBIT) for 2007 will be significantly lower than previously published. ecotel communication ag anticipates an EBIT of approx. 6 million Euro for the fiscal year 2007. Up to now the company expected to generate an EBIT of approx. 10 million Euro. Revenues for 2007 are estimated to reach up to 90 million Euro. The main reason for the marked decline is that the financial figures of nacamar GmbH for 2006, on which the financial planning for 2007 was based, have to be corrected significantly, as turned out during the further integration of nacamar into ecotel group. Based on these figures the EBIT for the first half 2007 was overstated by estimated 0.8 million Euro. This results in a significant reduction of the expected EBIT of nacamar for the second half of 2007, as well. As a consequence nacamar GmbH will remove its CFO. ecotel also examines potential damage claims against the seller of nacamar GmbH.
ecotel intends to deal with this development by a raft of measures. As regards nacamar GmbH, it is planned to implement a restructuring plan which is closely monitored by ecotel.
ecotel is confident to reverse the weakened results from 2008 onwards and to continue its profitable growth.
