Düsseldorf 16. May 2007 – In the first quarter of 2007 ecotel communications ag achieved revenues of Euro 20.6 million, an EBIT of Euro 2.4 million and earnings
per share of Euro 0.50.

In comparison to the first quarter of 2006 revenues grew by more than 70% (Q1 2006: Euro 12.1 million).

EBIT quadrupled to Euro 2.4 million (prior year period: Euro 0.6 million), which affirmes ecotel’s sustained growth. Compared to the prior year period, the EBIT-margin grew from 5% to 12%.

The current positive business development of ecotel communication ag is driven by the pleasant development of the existing business, the acquisition of DSLCOMP Communications GmbH (May 2006) and of Tiscali Nacamar GmbH (February 2007).

The management team maintains its guidance for 2007 with revenues above Euro 100 million and an EBIT of at least Euro 10 million.
